A day in the life of a children’s portrait session

With many thanks to Tom Broadhead Films for capturing such a wonderful morning. I hope to show you all just how fun a portrait shoot can be. As the film goes on you can see the different moments that I have captured and then how I play with the colours and the light to get the photographs you see on my website.

This was done one morning in July last summer just outside of Edinburgh. Difficult to believe, being so sunny, that it was shot in Scotland!

The Fairies at the bottom of the Garden

It really is every little girls dream to make a fairy tale come true. To really find magical people who live in the wood or by the stream at the bottom of your garden. Think of the Cottingley Fairies, Tinkerbell or even the Tooth fairy. There are never ending mythical stories and what better to inspire this portrait session with Poppy, Darcey & Willa. Three enchanting girls I photographed in a wood in the south of Scotland. Spellbinding!
