It is always a pleasure to jump on the Eurostar and head to Paris. Now nearly two years since I left but it is still as timeless as ever. I spent a wonderful morning with this newly wedded couple on their honeymoon in the capital d’amour!
A few favourites from last month with Polyana for fashion week in Paris
I left Paris to come and live in London last summer but last month I was tempted back to the city of light to do a portrait for Fion and Max. They wanted to explore all of Paris so we started in the Marais in Place des Vosges, winding our way slowly over to the Notre Dame, stopping in a boulangerie for coffee, walking by the Seine, passing by the Shakespeare and co. bookshop, before jumping in a taxi to go to Eiffel tower. It was a perfect and beautiful March morning with that soft light which can only be Parisian.
Johanna is a wonderful Swedish opera singer from Stockholm (you can find more about her on her website) and I had the pleasure of photographing her last week while she was in Paris for an interview. We Started in Montmartre doing some more casual photos and ended on the Pont Alexandre III in a beautifully elegant ball gown.
I met Perrine and Emanuel for their portrait session in the streets of Paris. We went everywhere from the covered passages, into the Marais, around Ile St. Louis, down by the banks of the Seine looking a the Notre Dame, over to the Louvre and of course the Eiffel tower. Having met in Finland they have lived in Paris for the past four years. They are recently engaged and will be married next year in the south of France chez Emanuel.Their new life takes them over to London this summer (as does mine!) so I hope to meet up with them again soon.
All the way from Texas Justin and Elizabeth flew to Paris last week and we met at the American church for their magical wedding day in the city of love! Elizabeth looked beautiful and Justin very happy. We then spent a happy day wandering around Paris visiting the Eiffel tower, the Alexander bridge and the Louvre.
At the American church on the Quai d’orsay. The pink flowers are perfect and give a splash of colour to the images. A few photos taken going inside and throughout the ceremony. Justin’s parents were there and some other family friends who were the witnesses. Genevieve, the baby, included of course!
