Le mariage de Lauriane & Emilie
I first met Lauriane and Emilie in a little café near the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris and right from the beginning I knew that it would be a very imaginative and creative wedding. Both girls have such style and had a wonderful vision for their day. The words intimate, relaxed and fun were bandied around which was music to my ears! Emilie and Lauriane had found me through Un Beau Jour so I knew directly what kind of a wedding it would be and I think the photos represent them as the fantastic, lively and original couple they are.
The wedding took place in the Mairie at Soisy sur Seine in the suburbs of Paris. They then took their recently renovated vintage red Mini and we drove out to La Chalottorie which is a beautiful chateau 30 minutes outside of Paris.
With a live band, delicious food, a photo booth and an extensive garden to explore. The wedding couldn’t have been more enjoyable.
This was an incredibly special wedding and a first for me to photograph a same sex wedding as it has only just become legal in France in 2013. I felt very lucky to be a part of their day.
